Public Eye. The last series from 1975 (apparently).
I have no memory of this, merely picking it up as it was there more than anything. Alfred Burke plays Frank Marker, an "inquiry agent", who sets up in Chertsey after whatever happened to him at the end of the last series . He gets the shit kicked out of him by Alan Lake to start with. Fascinating to see this really. It's so British it hurts. PI works out of an old motor shop? In the US this would be noir central, here it's just a bit seedy really. The antithesis of The Sweeney . From babysitting orchids to bomb threats (from that nice Jan Leeming!!), this isn't Marlowe territory at all.
Any fans here??

Whitechapel

Quite enjoying watched first series on Monday, series 2 yesterday , going start on 3rd today
A Sergeant and his team with Steve pemberton as an expert in historical homicides investigate modern day crimes (copycat killers etc ) that have happened in the past in the Whitechapel district of London.
Not everything plain sailing with a couple of small twist and turns .
So far what I've seen I'd recommend it .

Was browsing net and saw trailer for cobra kai so decided to IMDb it , 9 out out 10 lowest rating was a 8 so decided to watch it

On episode 4 Oh boy it is 100% recommended, carries on modern day where they both end up having a grudge, staying the old style story and nostalgia with original actors as well . Johnny ended up a bum while Daniel has become owner of a car specialist and repairs, Johnny opens up cobra kai to help a kid who been picked on after kicking the bullies arse . not to be missed .
Available only on YouTube and each episode half hr long , 10 episodes so can watch most in one sitting if don't mind 5 hrs or so and has been commissioned for a 2 nd series

It's great and captures the spirit of the films, can't wait for the second series. Good how there is no real good or bad guy, because at times they are both pricks, some ways Daniel more so, in some ways it's a role reversal till near the ed and then we have that cliffhanger so can see them teaming up at some point next season.

Just out of curiosity part way through 3 rd episode it cuts of , looks like you have to subscribe to YouTube channel at £11:99 a month .
Or is there some other way to watch it ?

Netflix aren't half trying to push disenchantment, everything I seem to watch there it is at the end credits.

Think it's not doing as good as they hoped, everyone I know who watched it switched off after the first couple of episodes.
