Yeah, thank God they never tried that.

Actually i didn't mind them. I saw them at the stage show and they were immense. In fact i'm convinced they created them purely for the show because they were a lot larger and suited a stage better.

Once that event was over they basically only had fleeting appearances.

But they basically still look the same, something that can't be said of the new Klingons

Noted gag!!

Inside No. 9 "Deadline".

A somewhat cripplingly self referential Halloweener here. Yes, Ghostwatch cast a long shadow over proceedings ... but I liked it. Cheeky, grisly and slightly nerdy (what they are good at imho) .... here's my postscript ... very media savvy mate fell for the 2nd break. Now he should have known better ahem. So I am happy.

Dem I beseech thee ... think again!!

Saw a bit of new sci-fi show The Orville on SBS the other night. Unfortunately I didn't know it was on so I missed the first bunch of episodes, but what I saw looked like really good fun, and it's already got a second season in the US, so I think I'm gonna buy the season 1 DVD that came out here this week.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've watched the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones. It's been the first time I've done this, after watching the first three or four in a row in preparation for another season being aired, and it was so good to watch those 67 episodes in a compressed period of time. It allowed me to pick up and remember details which I hadn't done before, or remember lines or events which seem insignificant but I know will be extremely important later on.

The Blu-ray releases of seasons 5-7 have Dolby Atmos which gives the battle sequences and those with dragons a much greater impact than when they were on TV. If someone were to give me the 4K releases I wouldn't refuse them, but I'm happy enough with the picture quality to stick with 'regular' high definition.

I can't wait until season eight begins in April!
