I just watched the first episode on Netflix’s Evil Genius. More true crime, this time a guy with a bomb shackled around his neck forced to rob a bank and follow clues scavenger hunt style to find keys that unlock the bomb from his neck, only he gets apprehended, time runs out and the bomb detonated...

I’m actually shocked, it’s been a while since a tv show has really shocked me!! Ended on a fantastic cliff hanger too but that’ll have to wait until tomorrow!

Crazy documentary really interesting. Watching the poor guy hooked up to the bomb was scary to say the least.

Callan

Where do I start here? Actually with a reasonably comprehensive interview on the dvd for the film version I have cough. Forewarned that the BW set was missing a fair few, they were still revelatory in terms of character, screen violence etc. Here he is a 'shiftier' sort, using his stooge Lonely (ably played by Russell Hunter, even if he begins to grate during the colour era imho) with gay abandon in places. The final story is at least here and is a paranoid, violent melodrama which sorrrt of bridges into the 70s series.
Here again, a joy to behold as our hesistant assassin gets back on the horse, so to speak. This is at least the complete block of episodes, so there is an actual arc to it over the run. And whatta arc tis! From the 'Section''s dirty little 'mistake' to running the joint, our Dave gets stuck right in here, battling friend and foe alike. Anthony Valentine, a living sneer dressed by Saville Row, stands out here as he did in the 60s .... must get Raffles methinks!!! It all ends with a blinding 3 parter "The Richmond File" starring T.P. McKenna.
Phew!

So the first episode of the last season of Still Game.
Winston becomes an Internet star and Jakc and Victor try to hop on the bandwagon. A few good laughs but nothing spectacular if I'm honest, more of a disappointment if I'm honest I hope this is just one bad episode and it'll improve. I hope.
