I was thinking about why I disliked parts of it last night and I think it comes down to the script. For me the script seemed less like the telling of the story and more the scriptwriters shouting at me how clever they are via the actors.

Can't really put my finger on why it rubbed me up the wrong way, but it just seemed a bit smart-arsey. * shrug *

Think i'll give it a miss tonight. Hope those who liked it enjoy the rest of the series.

Last time I saw a Dracula portrayal/performance as bad as this, was when I checked out Stephen Sommers horrible Van Helsing film.

The Dario Argento film is honestly superior to this new adaption's first part. At the least, it is a tie. I'm not kidding.

I think I’m in the minority being a fan of Van Helsing, nothing to do with Kate Beckinsale honest guv
