Wicked Science: The Weakest Link. Jack is turning into quite the nuisance as we head into the second half of the season. When his attempt to change tack and lay on the charm with Elizabeth falls about as flat as you'd expect, he plays manipulator in order to ensure Toby and his friends are all out of the way so he can break into his shed/lab again - only to unleash decidedly more than he bargained for. This is another strong episode, and thankfully there seems to be no sign of the downturn I thought season 1 underwent at around this point. Toby doesn't seem to be holding a grudge against Elizabeth for the events of last week, but Elizabeth is definitely holding one against Jack, and even Verity doesn't seem to be very impressed with him, actually suggesting to Elizabeth - in front of him - that she turn him into a toad!

You'll never guess who popped up in an episode of US show Absentia the other day - Simon Rouse, aka DCI Jack Meadows in The Bill!
WTF? I'd have thought the guy would be ready to retire by now, not be swanning off to the US!

(I don't watch it, by the way. I just happened to see him on it).

Did I mention that I watched the 6th and 7th episodes of Lovecraft Country ?
Did I also mention that I was pleased that Omar had turned up (Michael Kenneth Williams) ?
Well keep in mind the character he played in The Wire cough.
This show is just bonkers. I look forward to the last three (supposing it'll BE 10 episodes etc....), if only to see where it goes hahaha. LAWDY. :pop2::nod:

THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN Seasons 1,2,3,4,5 (1973-1978)

THE BIONIC WOMAN Seasons 1,2,3 (1974-1978)

Excellent! Ah, those were the days when we used to run in slow motion doing the bionic sound effect!
In a time before spoilers, remember when Jaime's bionics went haywire and she died? Great episodes. What a shocker.
Such was the outcry over her death, Jaime was resurrected for her own show and the two series had a number of crossover episodes.

THE RETURN OF THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN AND THE BIONIC WOMAN (1987)
BIONIC SHOWDOWN (1989)
BIONIC EVER AFTER ? (1994)

These TV movies are okay. Good to see Steve and Jaime back again.
The shows are a bit thin on the bionic side of things. BIONIC SHOWDOWN is a showcase for Sandra Bullock's new super bionic body with Steve and Jaime really in support roles.
At last Steve and Jaimie tie the knot although it's all over rather quick. Good story though.
I still have the Six Million Dollar Man figure and engine block. Also an annual from 1975.
A few years back I met Lindsay Wagner and Richard Anderson (Oscar Goldman).

Wicked Science: Talk to the Animals. Increasingly jealous at Toby and Nikki's growing relationship, Elizabeth comes up with a way to mess with his head - literally - in a bid to make him worried enough to spend more time with her, only to end up affecting Sasha as well. This one was a bit of a dud for me, to be honest. While it is interesting that, unlike season 1 where she's just angry at the world in general, almost every time Elizabeth acts out in season 2 it's to do with her feelings for Toby, this one does rather feel like it's going over old ground without really adding anything new. Meh.

Melrose Place. The infamous season 3 cliffhanger with Crazy Kimberly and lots and lots of bombs. Rather wonderfully OTT.:nod:
