This weekend, me and my other half decided to give True Detective another go (we gave up after a couple of episodes when it was originally aired), ended up watching the entire series over the two days, followed by the entire first series of Broadchurch on Monday, ready for the new series which began on Monday night.
Two fantastic detective shows, which judging by our viewing habits this weekend, proved to be highly addictive!

Now, I'm currently starting on the Friends Blu Ray boxset that she bought me for Xmas, despite seeing every episode loads of times, I'm loving watching them in HD for the first time

True Detective is amazing, best thing I've ever seen on telly.

Yeah, I lost count at the number of times I asked her why we gave up on it the first time round, absolutely brilliant TV in every aspect, writing, acting, direction, music!

I'm not sure, we downloaded the "boxset" from Sky, I can't recommend it enough though and can't wait to see what season 2 will bring in June!

True Detective is worth owning for the first crime scene alone B E, which by chance, combines all the wyrd of Robin of Sherwood on to the naked body of a woman.

Currently watching HTV's Robin of Sherwood courtesy of Network's Blu-ray set.

I also love the ritualistic overtones, what with sorcery, paganism, folklore and witchcraft being prominent themes throughout the series; albeit put across in a more TV friendly way.

If you'd said this whilst the sale was on i'd have bought it myself.

I can see why you like it. It's gone straight to my Amazon tv wishlist. As soon as it drops in price it will be mine.

I can wait as i've still to get cracking on the complete Avengers box set which was in no way weird or indeed wyrd.

I think you'd really enjoy True Detective, Dem. Robin of Sherwood is pretty excellent too and hasn't seemed to have aged to badly which was my fear when I got it a couple of years back.

I watched the first episode of True Detective today and I need to ask, does it get better? Does anything actually happen? As I was a little underwhelmed after all the praise. I'm assuming I just need to give it time right?
