Series 1 of Hot Metal. Classic mid 80s satirical comedy series about a tabloid newspaper, written by Andrew Marshall and David Renwick, and starring Robert Hardy in a dual role as well as Geoffrey Palmer (in series 1) and Richard Wilson (series 2). Brilliant cult comedy that was clearly an influence on long-running 90s TV newsroom comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey (with its central premise of a mad billionaire buying up a respectable enough media outlet only to immediately send it completely downmarket (Robert Hardy is essentially playing sort of both Gus Hedges and Sir Royston here). Loved this as a kid, still do.

Biography on Joseph Paul Franklin notorious serial killer in the States in the 70's through the 80's. Killed 7-22 people. Pretty good although an hour is really not enough, I could have watched a few hours on him and his case. I am determined to read more about it though online and any books about him.

I'm really playing catch up with TV at the moment as I recently finished the fourth season of Baywatch and started season five of Grimm.

Baywatch is great for chilling out at the end of the day, and I'm glad Grimm is on Netflix because I forgot to record it when it was broadcast so was two seasons behind. It's been really good so far and I'm looking forward to finishing this season and finding the sixth (and final) season around somewhere, hopefully on Netflix.
