Really? Seemed to me that the scriptwriters have seen too much Buffy.

A few nice effects though.

Sorry, I didn't mean to question your taste. It was more my expectations and hopes going in. I was kinda hoping for a non wise-cracking Dracula - and in some set pieces I could easily see the Dr Who influence. Some bits were pretty good horror though for a telly show. 50/50 for me whether I watch the second episode.

Started off slow but ended up enjoying it and for the most liked the changes made, not too sure about the wise cracking Dracula.

It's only £12.99 for four and a half hours so i thought i'd buy it when it comes out on dvd.

Seems to be plenty of extras too.

Yep. Turned off after an hour. As soon as it started with the nun (with no faith) talking I knew I was going to struggle with it. More of the nun and this Dracula and that was me out.

I thought the BBC's new Dracula adaption was truly godawful. I won't be watching the next part.

does seem Dracula is a marmite program even the reviews either hate it or love it. lot of complaints that its nothing like the book but for me i like they tried something different , some of it might not work but we have seen they story done a million times before, so points for trying something differnt.

for those wanting a more faitfull apadation there is always the brillant 1977 production

I watched the 1977 version the other day, it’s one of my favourites
