It's the wrong aspect ratio. Friends was never widescreen. |

And it is on the Blu-ray release? Unless it went through a painstaking, time-consuming and expensive restoration and reframing exercise, as The Wire did, it'll just look weird (like Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in widescreen.

I just looked on DVD Compare and according to them, the US release of the first season is in 1.78:1. That's wrong. WRONG!

The Budget James Bond boxed set is the Amazon deal of the day at £39.99 - absolute bargain at £1.74 per film, packaging is basic but it takes up little shelf space and it looks smart enough. I've just told the other half and I'll be getting one for Christmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...f_rd_i=desktop

The space saving aspect does appeal given individual Bond releases take up a fair bit of shelf space. And knowing that there's always another Bond film to come it does also feel like any Bond Collection is going to be incomplete. But with this having space for Spectre and Spectre reportedly being Daniel Craigs last turn James Bond it does feel like a neat cut of point. Damn, very tempting.
