Yes i agree. The Slasher Collection is pretty abysmal - Scalps for one is awful. Dead of Winter's not even a slasher and as for the forthcoming Return to Horror High?

The Italian Collection is largely good though.

The main problem with the Italian Collection is not so much the films, most of them are OK to Good - there are a few terrible ones. The problem is the quality of the discs themselves. Unless they have taken the trouble to remaster the films themselves they are at the mercy of rights owners as to the transfer they are given - a lot of them are a barely an upgrade over DVD. Some of the subtitles are shocking too

True. If the actors are speaking English which in many cases they do, i always watch the English dub.
