Just the thread but the Toshiba BDX1200 is a good multi-region player which was mentioned in there.

I have one, yes it does mate, but there's a bug once you install the region free firmware which means certain UK discs are a bit jittery. Not had any issues with Region-locked US discs so play any troublesome discs on my PS3.

Bought a BDX1200 the other week and its absolutely great! I love not having to visit sites like regionfreemovies.com, etc, prior to ordering BDs now and I love the Criterion Collection even more
