They'll be shipped together when Stake Land is released, but I don't mind waiting as I have plenty of other discs to keep me occupied until then.

dream demon 15th July 2011 11:43 AM

Just out of interest I checked this out and they won't ship to the UK. :(

Not sure if these have been posted or not, but these Tesco codes are quite handy.

£5 off £20 Spend: 5WYS20-1
15% off one item when you spend £20 or more on an order (can include more than one item): 20JULY15-1

The top one runs out on the 17th. Both codes can be used together, if you satisfy the requirements correctly. It makes LOTR:EE £33.24 for example. I couldn't find many decent priced blus that I didn't have, but combined the codes on a game and a blu-ray. The Resident (which is slightly more at Tesco than everywhere else, but means I can satisfy the voucher requirements) and Dungeon Siege III: LE (360) for a combined total of £21.31. Considering they're both recent releases I intended buying anyway, it's a pretty good deal.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 15th July 2011 07:25 PM

I'll have to have a look and see if anything on my wishlist is there. Thanks for the heads up.

Refused 16th July 2011 01:46 PM

Thanks for the Tesco code. Way too much I wanted, but I settled on Apocalypse Now and Hobo With A Shotgun for a smidge over £20. Not too shabby as Apocalypse Now is around £18 everywhere, had my eye on it for ages.

Zavvi have got the Big Lebowski up for preorder for £9.85, about £6 cheaper than anywhere else at the moment.

I can not thank you enough for bringing this to my attention, not only did I not even know its being released but I literally just sold some stuff on eBay for a tenner. It was a sign, it was meant to be.

They've bumped the price up to £12.85 now. My order is still showing as £9.85, so I think I got lucky.

Although I have US release on pre-order, I might pre-ordered this one as well so I can keep the US limited edition one for 'best'!

I tried ordering this via PayPal. Zavvi came bcak saying that the payment process didn't go through. It's the first time I've had trouble with a Pay Pal transaction.

Psycho Steelbook BD

If you missed out on grabbing the Psycho Steelbook BD on initial release then look no further as Amazon UK have several copies available at only £17.99. This one normally fetches for around £30 - £50 on eBay and Amazon Marketplace etc. so grab the deal while you can! :woot:

Its that high if you order a lot, choose fast shipping or from Marketplace, but not on the normal cheap shipping. unless they've changed it recently, I ordered two Boris records and a merzbow record (all heavy vinyl) about 3 months ago and I think the shipping worked out at £11 for all 3! Inoxia are a record label from Japan and they charge $6 flat rate.

PaulD 29th July 2011 05:44 PM

2 blurays for £12 at Zavvi

A lot of titles you can usually find at the lower prices online but definitely worth a look. Some titles are about £11/£12 on their own - not sure if they've been included by mistake

the blob 29th July 2011 07:36 PM

£6.38 shipped new from Amazon Marketplace. Been meaning to order this for a little while.

Man Who Could Cheat Death / The Skull Blu-ray US Import: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher Lee: Film & TV

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 29th July 2011 07:42 PM

I've also meaning to buy that BD for a while and that's an excellent price, easily cheaper than buying from Amazon.com, MovieTyme, Planet Axel etc.

Thanks for the link!

Thank you very much. That's another nice evening for me! :thumb:

Greetings!

Zavvi have Stand By Me in their Mega Monday promotion for £9.85. They're a dire company though, god knows when they'll ship it. They only recently got around to shipping my pre-ordered copy of The Funhouse!

Quite tempted by Blue Valentine and Biutiful at £10.85 each too. Both great films, imo. Midnight Cowboy - £7.85. Worth checking to see if anything interests you.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 31st July 2011 03:16 PM

They're pretty good prices, especially if you're not in a rush to receive the BDs!

Refused 31st July 2011 05:43 PM

Last preorder I made from Zavvi arrived the Thursday before release.

Count yourself lucky! That's never happened to me and I've pre-ordered quite a lot of stuff from them in the past.

What was it, by the way?

I think it was also the only order I've made from them in the past, haha. It was the Jackass 3D blu-ray.

the blob 31st July 2011 09:24 PM

Can't say I've ever had a problem with Zavvi and I'm not usually in a rush for anything, hence I just pre-ordered Rolling Thunder for £7.85. :)

Rolling Thunder Blu-ray | Zavvi.com

Miles cheaper than anywhere else. Now just have to wait and see if it gets released....

Ah, you beat me to it! Your right though, at that price a pre-order was a no-brainer.

ASDA are selling HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN for a tenner!

Refused 4th August 2011 10:16 PM

Super is only £9 as well, which is definitely worth a watch!
I wish all new release blus were that sort of price.

Baseball Fury 4th August 2011 10:21 PM

HWAS was £10 in Tesco earlier too!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 5th August 2011 07:32 AM

Black Swan triple-play only £8.99 on Amazon.

Grabbed one at HMV online for the same price. Thought I'd check instore first and it was only in the 2 for £20 and nothing else to buy.

Been dying to watch this as I saw most of it on the plane back from the States then they switched it off with about half an hour to go!

pedromonkey 5th August 2011 10:53 PM

Avoid it like the plague! It's not Blu-Ray quality at all from what I've read about it.

They had a few new sale blu-rays when I was in Asda earlier. I didn't look too hard as I'm trying to save some cash, but Conan was £10 and Lemmy for £7.

I Wanted to see the film but it was 7.99 for the dvd, so blu was the cheapest option. Checked out the PQ today and it truly does suck....
