A fantastic price on the upcoming UK Criterion Lone Wolf and Cub set from Hive - only £21.75.

They probably won't honour it as it is an obvious pricing error but maybe worth a punt for those interested.

That would count as an order in February.

You are an addict, trebor. I admire your fight, but if you are like this after eight days of the month have gone, I see no way of you lasting the remaining 20!

trebor8273 8th February 2017 09:19 AM

will be a good boy and not order it, mind now i have said that they will honour the deal:lol:

Not strictly true mate. My local(ish) HMV had the films for £4.99 but they were in amongst the others, there was no stand or any advertising at all.

I picked up Casino and Jaws 2 earlier.

Mine didn't. At all. Were all in the 3 for £20 or 5 for £30.

Justin101 8th February 2017 05:02 PM

They had them in the normal section in Liverpool HMV. I might pick up Hail Caesar!

Rob4 8th February 2017 07:12 PM

i'd like The Beguiled but i couldn't bring myself to touch that godawful cover :nono:

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 8th February 2017 07:57 PM

Eastwood has been MASSIVELY WRONGED when it comes to original artwork.

Most of those Universal covers look like ads for 70's long collar shirts/hairspray or Blue ****ing Stratos aftershave!

I got this for £17 last year from Amazon.it, it's still a steal at £21.00 it's 100% English Friendly and just the removable J-card is in Italian. All of the booklets and the info inside is all in English.

The complete series of Breaking Bad on Blu is £19.99 in HMV for Pure members, it's the Tin edition and comes with the two hour documentary. I snapped it up to replace my DVDs.

It also comes with a UV code which is past its expiration date but the rumours are it still works. I already have it on Flixster so if someone wants to give it a go they're welcome to the code.

did yours also come with the dvd of season one?

Frankenhooker 13th March 2017 11:05 AM

It did, with a little 'To and From' label on it.

The UV code does work still, I activated mine last week, it doesn't have Chromecast support though which makes it less useful.

I can't say I'm familiar with Ms.Gemser, I take it she's a good actress?[emoji6]

No but she gets her kit off a lot.

She's not a fave of mine at all, but others seem to like her.

I notice the linked item is now £12.99.

Justin101 17th March 2017 09:55 AM

It must have been a lightning deal, shame I missed it, but to be honest I'm starting the inevitable downsizing of my collection next week and some of the 88 Films duds are going to be the first to go so I don't really need to add more to the pile

Hammer time 17th March 2017 12:34 PM

Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals should be in anyone's cannibal collection its a better cannibal film than 99% of the dreck like dino valley or the Catherine miles story
