I paid £23.82 for it and still consider that money well spent.

There's a load of Arrow Blu-ray deals on Amazon.

Just picked up Rogue Cops and Racketeers for £23.99.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rogue-Cops-...d%2C497&sr=1-1

The 88 Films Species box set is down to £23 which is annoying.

The Yokai Monsters Collection [Blu-ray] is currently £25.79 on Amazon UK.

Justin101 25th August 2022 01:56 PM

That Yokai set is really good, the films are loads of fun, but it isn't the version with the book and the cool fold-out poster that has the names of all the Yokai on it. It's the budget(ish) version with just the movies in thin box.

Does have a doc about Yokai in Japanese culture though, and of course Kim Newman is involved

Good spot! May just treat myself to The Reckoning and Deadly Affair... I wonder if this means they have made a deal to get the Indicator stuff back in their stores

Justin101 21st September 2022 07:33 PM

I picked a couple up in Fopp yesterday, I was surprised to see them. I was going to ask the cashier about it but he was a bit odd so I just paid and left

Apparently the same deal was spotted in HMV, Norwich so I think the answer is yes.

zeroid 22nd September 2022 07:22 PM

Nice, I live in Norwich, may pop in on my way home from work tomorrow then...

Noticed Visiting Hours on Blu-Ray and uncut for £12.66

Justin101 27th September 2022 07:43 PM

I saw this in HMV today, I think it's their halloween sale, they're calling it 'Video Nasties' and it's 2 for £15 across a few labels, including some of the majors like Warner.

And yet I could find very little I wanted. A few I would grab if they were a little cheaper. Call me tight or whatever but I still struggle to see £8 as a sale price for a blind buy.

The Giallo Essentials Black Edition is currently £29.99 on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09ZQMVP...629781_TE_item

It's not a price match as it's still fifty quid on Arrow's site and HMV.

Just ordered one myself.

BW Haggar 14th October 2022 12:54 PM

Thanks so much for alerting me to this one Demdike - I was expecting to have to wait months/years for this set to drop in price, so duly purchased!

g053584398 14th October 2022 09:38 PM

Thanks for letting everyone know about the great price of The Giallo Essentials Black Edition on Amazon Dem! I picked up a copy and even managed to get a seven quid discount code, so I ended up paying only £22.99! I would have been happy to pay £30 though in any case.

Where did you get a discount code?

Well I was moving items around my shopping basket, because I'd exceeded the saved items limit, and was forced to delete a few items. Before deleting them I'd opened each item in a new browser tab, with a view to adding them back into the basket once I've ordered, and I was just clicking on each tab when I noticed a link above one of the items that said something like you qualify for a £7 discount. I clicked on the link and it said something along the lines of that if I ordered something and had it delivered to an Amazon Locker location, which is something that I'd never done before, I would qualify for the discount. So on the order page I clicked on the Amazon Locker link, rather than the default delivery option to my home address, and then checked the nearest locker locations. The nearest one to where I live is only a three minute walk away, so I clicked on the location and the £7 discount was applied. Needless to say, I was a happy lad!

Most Blu's are a fiver in the new Screenbound October Halloween sale.

Dvd's £3

Even J Harker can't moan at this sale. :skull:

I'm not even sure where to put this as I didn't know it existed. But it's a bargain at £9.99 from Amazon, even if it is only dvd.
Contains all four of Mark Gattis' Ghost Stories For Christmas.

Oh brilliant. Thank you so much for posting this.

You've made my night. I had no idea it existed.

Seriously f*cking happy!!!!

Anyway, ordered now!

Yeah it's snuck out. I'm surprised it's dvd only but for relatively new productions it will be more than adequate. And a tenner!

I was sure it would come out on the final Blu-ray set of Ghost Stories for Christmas. It still might but like you say it'll look great on dvd anyway so i'm not waiting another two years for something that may never happen.

It's looking like it will be a Christmas present for me so that's even better.

The Chucky seven film set is £20.83 on Amazon at the moment.

Ordered, thank you!

I've only seen clips but haven't seen the entire film – it's one about which I'm very curious.

:thankingyou:

Ditto, so I am glad I forgot and didn't get round to it!

I have the Shriek Show dvd of GLO and it's not one i'd even contemplate upgrading.

Definitely a great price for those who want it though.

MuckyFunster 11th November 2022 11:56 AM

I ordered Gestapo’s Last Orgy from Strange Vice when it came out initially. Definitely a very nasty film, but quite well made and acted. Much better, IMO, than SS Experiment Camp. I haven’t seen too many other nazsploitations.

If you watched any of the SS Hell Packs back to back you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them.

I picked them all up in the mid 00's as you could get them delivered from places like AllYourMusic for under a fiver for three films.

I was happy to upgrade the Shriek Show zombie sets (The Fragasso films) but the Nazi exploitation stuff has little rewatch value for me all these years later.

nosferatu42 11th November 2022 04:03 PM

I rewatched Gestapo's Last Orgy last year and i think it is one of the better Nazisploitation films, It's disturbing, but also is well shot and has some powerful scenes.
