I miss the 23rd Century days, managed to find a couple of amazingly obscure films in pound shops - a Bermuda Triangle movie starring Gianni Garko and an old Jugoslavian WW2 film. Since then I did managed to find Franco's Nightmares Come at Night (link to my review), and glad I only spent a pound on it as the film is pretty dire - the Eurotika documentary on Eurociné was worth seeing though.

It's a Jess Franco film, aren't almost all of them boring?

Yip,or faceless,or even at a push....cannibals. Thats about it,possibly devil hunter and, maybe, just maybe, oasis of the zombies,a real guilty pleasure of mine. I have never understood the appeal of franco's output, for every half decent film he's made, theres another 10 godawful flicks to back it up. If he didnt have such a cult fanbase, most of his output wouldnt be out of place under the film 2000 banner...its that bad! |

or the braindamage label, you'd have to have braindamage to enjoy those. Yeah Bloody Moon was quite good. |
