I like bad films and a slasher starring Cheggers sounds as bad as it gets!! Popped into my local Poundland and they've started stocking After Dark Originals, a range which I've found to be quite good fun so far (with the exception of 51 and Scream of the Banshee). Picked up Rogue River and Playback today. The latter stars Christian Slater, which is either indicative of a slightly bigger budget or that Mr. Slater has lowered his standards somewhat .

I picked up the Sony uk release of the tweaked version of the original Evil Dead today in my local co-op for £3.99. Two new extras on it that I have never seen/heard are the hour long doucumentary lifted from the US Anchor Bay disc and a new (2010) commentary by Raimi, Campbell and Tapert.

That's me up to 5 copies now on VHS/DVD, but it was too cheap too say no!

Snap. My "local" PL has a branch of That's Entertainment at the back now. Had a good "rake", as we say up north, and came away with Nico Masterakis' Hired To Kill, Stelvio Massi's Black Cobra (reviews of both, Il be putting up separately....sheeeesh etc, Jenuet-Caro's City Of Lost Children (the old EIV Fullframer! glutton for punishment!!), Undead, and the extremely awful Cruel Intentions 2: Manchester Prep. Next time, I'l check out the cds.....

I haven't been in my local one for awhile, but its quite a big store (used to be a Woolies), so I'd expect something similar

Default metro centre

today's purchases from the Poundland at Gateshead metrocentre were Uwe Boll's Blubberella ,Elfie Hopkins, Demon never die and two headed shark attack all look pretty dire but at a quid each worth a gamble. At the works got a three dvd boxset containing the bio channel's behind the scenes looks at halloween/jaws and silence of the lambs worth a punt at a fiver.

Poundland's website has a list of what DVDs they'll have in store for Halloween this year including Halloween 2,Bride Of Chucky,Amityville 2:The Possession and the original version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
