Lee Marvin is wonderful (as ever!) in this. When Hollywood remade it with Hugh Bloody Jackman of all people in the Lee Marvin part, I was angered and saddened. |

I don't think Lee Marvin was born, I think he was sculpted out of granite! If anyone could take a pounding from a robot it'd be him. No twists or unexplained elements in this, so quite un-Twilight Zone in that respect. But a great tale of people plugging away at something that they probably should have quit years ago because it's all they know. I really like the look of the robots too. |

I haven't gotten round to season 5 yet but has anyone seen Reel Steel, the recent film adaptation of this, also based on Matheson's story? How does it compare to the Twilight Zone episode?

Haven't gotten around to Real Steel yet, but everyone I know who's seen it seems to really like it, so I'm quite looking forward to it.

Hugh Jackman makes me sad though! I really like him in real life - he comes across as a top guy in interviews, but once he attempts to act....bleurgh! |
