Watched this one earlier today and remembered seeing it on tv a few years ago. Not one of my favourites unfortunately. Good performance from Ida Lupino though.

Yeah I agree. The "twist" just has nothing to it, and there's really nothing along the way in terms of twists and turns in the story. You know everything about her from the opening, everything else just confirms what you already know.

Didn't enjoy this one as much as the others so far.

Interesting to note that the now famous tune still hasn't made an appearance.

I didn't like this as much as others I've seen that it could be because like the basic theme was lifted straight from Sunset Boulevard!

While you could spot the 'twist' off a mile off (I wonder if that had still been the case in the late '50s or if the many films that have imitated it since have affected our judgment), I still thought Ida Lupino was great in it.
