Synopsis:

Bea Smith begins her life as a remand prisoner in Wentworth Correctional Centre after being charged with the attempted murder of her husband. Caught the first episode. Pretty good. Perplexed at why they felt the need to retitle it Wentworth Prison for the UK though.

I watched all ten episodes online some time ago, it was a pretty good watch although a world away from the original series.

Be interesting to see where they go with the second series.

Agree with you that it's eminently watchable so far but I personally think it lacks the campness and star quality that the original Prisoner had.

What was the original title before the 1 it has now

It's just called Wentworth.

Looking forward to getting my paws on Wentworth on DVD.
