Default Prisoner Vol 5 Out Now

Prisoner Cell Block H Vol 5 is out on DVD today.

There's a new Cult Labs blog with a playlist of Prisoner interviews and bloopers, just posted HERE

What do you think are the chances of the rest of this series being released?

I have purchased the first 4 volumes but I am becoming concerned that I may have started a collection that I will never get to finish.

Collecting any series can be a risk but Prisoner is just too good - even until the end so if sales are good now I'd expect them to remain pretty steady until the end - therefore making it worthwhile. I don't think Prisoner fans will tend to be bit-torrent fans etc!

I just wish the UK releases would speed up,

I used to have all the episodes on dvd-r but when the box sets were released here I bought them and gave away my set.

The problem is, I had recently watched all the episodes up until The Freak arrives so until the UK release catches up with those episodes I am left waiting to see what happens next.

Oh well... as long as the full set gets released here I will be happy.

The only thing worrying me is how cheap they are now selling for, will the distributor think its not worth completing the set.

Releasing TV box sets in the UK is quite a pain because you have to get each disc certificated (which also ramps up the cost big time) so that certainly doesn't help with the delays.

And yes you'll have a wait but it's worth hanging in there for all the main Freak action - it is truly splendid telly!

I watched the first episode on the volume 5 dvds last night. I did notice that the UK sets seem to be exact ports of the Australian discs? I was sure the menu said volume 9?

I was gobsmacked to see a baby-faced Stefan Dennis (Neighbours) appear briefly.

Wait till you see Ian Smith, he's literally half the man he is now.
