Just recieved my french r2 UNCUT version of this from amazonfr.....superb artwork and unforced french subs,anyone else got it yet?

Watched this last night WELL worth it folks....best looking transfer yet and at last totally uncut.....a bonafide cult classic:)

Somewhere scattered around my easily unnavigatable film collection I've got the wrongly-issued uncut Maverick Directors VHS (together with Performance, The Devils and a few others).

I still think it's Ferrara's best film.

I thought Driller to be better, to me it was more gritty , dark and nilhilistic (Forgive spelling)

Yeah I agree about Driller Killer being his best work. The re-make starring Davis Hess is out soon.

I still find Driller Killer one of the worst & dullest of the video nasties.

I quite enjoyed Bad Lieutenant in parts, though Keitel's bleating eventually made me want to throw a shoe at him. http://shameless-films.com/forums/im...es/biggrin.gif

I liked the tone of Driller Killer, Combat shock is very similar in tone, sortta depressing but you get drawn in to this guys life.
I think VIPCO made Driller out to be a something it wasn't by the box artwork which is why so many people are split on the film.

David Hess in a remake.? I didn't know it was being remade, anymore info Angel.?

Says there that it has been awarded an 18 rating. I'd be surprised if the BBFC have even seen the film yet.
