I started watching Special Train for Hitler last night (just to check the picture quality) and I've actually watched 40 min before I went to bed.
I will watch the rest tonight...

Dvd menu looks nice!
This one is only in English language btw.

The credits have a bit of damage (not too bad) and generally there's some damage and debris everywhere (not too bad) but it looks pretty good overall.
Actually liked the way it looked, gives you something of "cinema experience".
This seems to be using the same master as the French dvd like I suspected.
The English dub is a little off but that's no surprise to viewers of these older dubbed movies and only adds to the charm.
I suspect this was made in English btw.

The movie starts a little slow with an introduction of the characters and a little set-up but this lasts only 10 min or so.
And then the fun starts!
Lots of nazi's (uniforms look pretty good),simulated sex (and lots of kinky sex) and nudity!
I expect some torture/bondage showing up anytime now!
There's also some German troops and a little plot as well...
I actually like it so far.

I think the next one I pop in will be HELGA, SHE WOLF OF SPILBERG!

PS I've added the box to the dvdaf database.

Does Jailhouse Wardress contain the same mediocre full frame transfer as the german disc?

I've checked and picture quality looks pretty good (from what I've seen).
It's also widescreen but picture seems a bit squished, could be my tv (standard 4:3).
I get about 1.85:1 and looks like it would be ok at 1.66:1?

Just looked it up on the net and here's the info of the French disc:
Image : 1.66 - 4/3
But I found some other sites stating it's 4:3?
Have a look here for screencaps of the probably similar French dvd:
http://www.sueursfroides.fr/critique...nitencier-1407 (bottom of page)

I get a widescreen picture (though maybe faulty encoded as anamorphic resulting in the squishing)
I would ask someone with a 16:9 tv to have a look at it.
Maybe Reaps could when he gets it?

I'm going to check the aspect ratio of the other movies now.

Update:
Elsa,Convoy of Girls,Nathalie and Special Train look fine.
Jailhouse Wardress and Helga may be faulty encoded as anamorphic and look a bit squished (standard 4:3 TV sets may not be capable of adjusting the image to correct size,16:9 sets and computers should have no problem with this).

Here's some Nathalie screencaps I found.

Finished watching Last Train for Hitler and liked it (especially the ending)!
Then watched Helga She Wolf of Spilberg and it's basically a "light version" of Ilsa The Wicked warden.
Could have used even more torture and sex but it's a trashy little charmer (just don't expect too much) and I love that theme!
Just started on Convoy of Girls which seems to be a bit of a patchwork.
I think it was started by Franco and finished by another director.
Already spotted unused footage from Last Train in there!
Talk about recycling!
It's fun to watch these back to back since all of them were made around the same time and by the same company.

I haven't watched that one yet!

Today I watched Convoy of Girls which seems to be an unfinished Franco movie with added footage from the films in this series and a combat scene I think I remember from Oasis of the Zombies?
I like a lot of Franco movies but sometimes he just wants to get all serious instead of playful and this is one of those.
Actually it's more of a wartime drama with little nudity and no wardress.
Bit of a snooze-fest but Franco completists will have to see this I guess...
It does have the girls delivering pretty hilarious lines (in the added footage) about cooking!

Next I watched Nathalie Rescued From Hell which has a different Ilsa type wardress (with a hilarious "sadistic" laugh).
Believe it or not this time Spilberg castle moves from South-America to Russia!
And she's also called Helga!
It has nudity, torture (some whippings and stuff),a wardress who looks like a dominatrix (!) and a decent storyline so it was ok in my book.

I must say it has been a bizarre experience watching these back to back since locations, actors and props/vehicles keep being used in these movies!

Next one up:
Jailhouse Wardress (especially for Loops)

Nathalie Rescued from Hell has an interesting discussion between an Englishman and a Scotsman about Scotch coffee btw...

Could you please check the aspect ratio's when watching Reaps?
