Good stuff. I'll make sure it's on the to-watch pile this coming December.

And it was.... Fair Game is of the female fights back ilk and along with it's other Ozploiter siblings,it contains a healthy chunk of nudity and violence. Usually in this type of film, the heroine begins as a frail, weak individual who learns to toughen up through her usually horrendous ordeal at the hands of the scummy protagonists. In FAIR GAME,the redneck outbackers backed a deuce when messing with our Cassandra! Each outrage only makes her more determined to get even..... Like it's star,Ms Delaney,it's worth tracking down......

We might not be able to remove their fishermen but we can remove their subs.... Yeah Razorback is an old fave of mine and this release looks stunning. It's a pity someone doesn't spruce up and splice back in the gorier cut scenes, which are,by director Mulcahy's own admission tame these days. Stunningly shot and full of black humour,(such as Duran Duran's New Moon on Monday on the car stereo),the 'Jaws On Trotters' moniker don't do justice to this cult classic. So cult,it even made it on to Moviedrome back in the day. Oh and old Jake Cullen could kick Mick Dundee's arse any day of the week!

Next up is the old Oz-crime-flick HOSTAGE.

So HOSTAGE wasn't so much a crime thriller, more of a kitchen sink drama with a crazy Kraut (laughably) forcing a young sheila to marry him, move to Germany, join his Neo Nazi group and hold up a bank. All the while abusing and beating her until...... Based on an apparently true story, the usual Umbrella cover (in the tradition of a certain dodgy old video label) makes it out to be an exploitation classic. It isn't,and is certainly not in the same league as the films mentioned earlier on this thread. Worth a watch, but it's certainly no TURKEY SHOOT.
