I'm torn with this. I actually liked salvas movies but think the guy is a complete scumbag who has no place on a film set. Its a real dilemma. I still wonder if flogging clownhouse was the right thing to do...

This is an old long running thread that I haven't visited before. My initial reaction is that it's a one horse race (fnar fnar) with D'Amato in pole position and doing my due diligence I see that was the consensus at the beginning of the thread too. I'm sure there's all kinds of mucky buggers out there that I haven't heard of though too. Prefer gore and atmosphere over sleaze to be honest.

Tinto Brass is also a director worth putting out there. Many of his films are just a showcase of nudity- hey I can't complain Lol. You all should say his film Paprika if you haven't- Debora Caprioglio wow. Also see her film Spiando Marina/Naked Obsession.
