I own that Freddy's Nightmares VHS - and Dream Demon coming to think of it.

I used to go to Car Boots looking for VHS until I ran out of storage space and it's a lot of fun and suprisingly addictive so I'm enjoying reading about your hunt. Somehow artwork always looked a bit better on VHS.

I'll post some pics when I get chance but here are some of my best finds:

American Nightmare
Blood Link
The Slime
(Vipco)
King Frat (Vipco Cult Classics), although I think I traded this with Pete
Machine Gun McCain pre-cert
The Black Panther
Three on a Meathook
(a European edition, Dutch I think)
Barfly (ex-rental)
Night Watch (Elizabeth Taylor)
Fists of Steel

... and a whole load more that are currently living in my loft. I'll dig them out and if there are any I can live without, will let you know. I know I have/had a Palace Edge of Sanity you'd be welcome to but have a feeling I chucked it away

that would be awesome sam, cheers!

im enjoying finding them even more than watching them to be honest and yeah the artwork is so much better, even more so when i get a big box vhs , just feels like i have something substantial in my hand.

a lot of people have thrown away VHS over the years, myself included i bet some real gems have gone to the tip too i used to own hundreds of VHS when i was living with my parents, so many that i had to build my Tv unit out of them

today i went to liverpool to meet pete and get some more VHS, this is my best day so far collecting

i meet pete at the train station to be greated with pete and two huge bags of tapes which we swapped over and i put in my little suitcase and backpack , they only just fitted :P and they were heavy!

after some searching around liverpool and a burger king we went into a a building that was filled with lots of small businesses selling all sorts, we spotted a small door backed into a corner that didn't really look like a shop more like an emergency exit, i tried the door and we walked into a small shop with 3 guys in there just chatting and they had quite a big bookcase full of VHS, after a few mins looking i got these for 50p each

apart from the blade runner, i got that from some cash converter type of place for 25p

had a great day with pete chatting about films and wandering around the town, after a while i got the train home and was so tempted to open my bags and search them to see what tapes i had got from pete but i doubt that i would have gotten them back in the bags, so i waited till i got home!

this is what i found!

some great tapes there and to top the day off when i was home i had also had this delivered in the day while i was out

so for one day i think i have done great! to get all this
