New poster here.  I watched Prisoner the first time round when it was shown on Granada TV through the early to mid 1990s, although I lost interest a little bit before the end so I haven't seen all of the last 18 months of episodes, something which I'm hoping to rectify following the DVD releases. I didn't get to see it repeated on FIVE either because we couldn't get that channel at the time. I'm now re-watching it all over again on DVD and can't believe how much I'm enjoying myself watching this magical series. My favourite characters are Bea, Lizzie, Chrissie, Erica Davidson and my ultimate fave character - the Freak! My favourite season from the show is 1982/83 Here's looking forward to conversing with fellow blockies. mr 420 likes this. |

| Old Fan New Inmate
Hello, I've been a fan since the late 80's. I started collecting the Australian collection after watching a few of the screenings on Channel 5 here in the UK. When I heard that we would be getting box sets in the UK I waited until they came down in price and started buying them. I have the first 5 box sets now and planning on buying the rest on payday. I'm pleased to hear that Freemantle are bringing out volumes 14 and 15 this year too. Looks like we are on track for having a full set by the end of next year. I've spent the whole of the Easter Holiday watching back2back episodes, much to the dismay of my Husband, while he is watching Mud Men. I thought I would join a few forums and make some friends who appreciate my investment.  The~Governor likes this. |
