At least 10 films on that list have no chance of an uncut release here.

I think they were, yes.

Also, I could be wrong but I think the scene where the cat eats the mouse is also prohibited...

Ah, that's it - thanks.

The BBFC are weird, though - basically, animal cruelty is permitted (Oldboy, Apocalypse Now, etc), just so long that the film is not an Italian production.

Not that I'm a big fan of animal snuff. Even the brilliant Deep Red has a pointless real lizard pinning. Not that I want the scenes cut, either. But the makers should have really faked it, imo.

As Angel says, many of the titles mentioned will have BBFC problems. Inferno might just possibly pass intact though I can't see any of the problematic sexual violence films getting through as yet.

Possession was released uncut on video in 1999 by Visual Film. An excellent widescreen print as well.

There's a thread discussing Video Nasties here.

The full uncut version of Inferno was shown on Sky Movies years ago.

Zone Horror also showed the non-nasty Blood Sucking Freaks intact though I'm pretty sure the BBFC would have problems with it. Toolbox Murders (also shown intact) would definitely fly through however.
