Cant say I care much for singing and dance numbers much either, especially with loads of naked people running about up to no good.

Given a classy and kinky presentation which oozes with nostalgia...count me in.

Surely 'Shameless' as a name, would cover this genre as well? lol. Bring on the sleaze, I see Mr. Morris and Mr. West have started their own side-label of Nuclues that deals with this type of stuff

As for Devil in the Flesh - that's art-house gold! Something Articial Eye would release... and get it out uncut... because it's a political statement!

I hate to be Johnny Buzzkill, but I'd be skeptical about how popular this might be. When I worked in a chain DVD store, the porn people used to buy was pretty much the same old same, Lindsay Dawn McKenzie type films. People don't tend to go looking for interesting films in the smut section, they look there because their evening plans involve spending some quality time alone.

For anything more niche than your standard big-boobs flick, I think you'd need to either market it as something that won't sit in an adult section or go the R18 route, which is already a crowded marketplace (I'm guessing. I mean, obviously I'm not spending hours every week trawling the smut shops of Soho. If I were to have, though, I'd probably still be amazed at the clown porn I saw the other week)

It'll need to be marketed carefully of course, but it depends of the angle. I'm not just thinking "soft smut" - but sleaze can mean anything from exploitation to giallo (already covered by shameless) - however, there are branches off that that could be explored - moving into the arthouse for instance (which is why I suggested Devil in The Flesh, or Italian sex-comedy, something not represented at all in the UK market - Edwige Fenich starring particularly, but also unrepresented Fulci titles!)

There just needs to be a specific angle - and not just soft smut for the sake of it. There will be a niche audience.
