One of many reasons why I usually skip reading the DVD sleeves alltogether when I'm out on the "movie hunt". One other is that those bloody plot summaries tend to give way too much away in 9 out of 10 cases.

Having the original language AND an English dub on the same disc was one of many things I liked about the "Hong Kong Legends" DVDs, which managed to satisfy both needs rather superbly.

I've noticed that there's multiple threads for individual films.

Would be a bit easier and tidier if they were merged to keep all the discussion about particular films in one thread rather than have multiple threads dotted around the forum.

I think part of this problem lies in the fact that, for Shameless titles at least, there are posts in both the Video Counter and New Release Shelf sections of the thread.

Maybe it should be made clearer that one section is for pre-release chat about a film, while the other is for post-release? Or just merge the two?

You could have the thread in the pre-release section before the DVD is out and if threads are created about that film elsewhere the mods could merge them and keep the topic in the pre-release section.

Then after the DVD has been released move the entire thread into the post-release section and the discussion can carry on there?

Yeah as the forum grows some of my dubious choices in setting up the forum come to light! It's certainly time for a prune and tidy-up around here. My feeling is there should just be an ultimate Shameless titles section where actual confirmed titles only (so any speculative titles go elsewhere) past, present, and future get discussed so people don't have to hop about and wonder where comments have gone. That any good?

That sounds like the best solution to me Almar.

And while we're at it any more suggestions for the forums? I think it's time for a tidy-up around here in how we list threads etc - I'm finding it hard to find stuff on here and I kicked this place off!

Well, that's the main reason I mentioned about the film threads as I kept finding myself reading one thread and wondering where the posts had gone only to realise I'd been reading two different ones!

It might just be me but when I look at the main index of the forum I do get a little bit confused as to what goes where. I usually stop looking and just hit the new posts button...

[QUOTE=vipco;6023]I could never bring myself to watch porn.

I have seen porn but I worry about the girls safety in them.
I read statements from Linda Lovelace were she said she had a gun pointed at her and she was forced to preform with a collie dog.

Was that film LASSIE COME HOME mate?

Seriously mate, a porn film would leave me worrying about those girls. I mean im sure those poor girls didn't think they would be having such ville acts done to them , on film, when they were just starting out in life.

Drug habits, ownership, debt, im sure thats more the reason these girls are taken advantage of and forced to partake in such films and that disturbs me more than any scene in Cannibal Holocaust.

I read the Lovelace thing in Killing for Culture though its stated as unlikely to have happened . Still ?

Speaking of CH, did anyone see the poster for Cannibals, Deodato's Holocaust companion piece on hermans Blog.
Check it out, you'll be surprised.
