May I be so impertinent as to ask why there's such a Fulci fixation? The majority of his output genre-wise was pedestrian at best. A few standout films don't make him worthy of the adulation that is heaped on him. The same goes for Franco: at best a dozen titles floating in an ocean of shit. And I'm a fan of both!

As I and others have said, Bloody Moon should be given the top drawer release it deserves, Night of the Demon is watchable, but what about Superstition, The Devonsville Terror is a firm fan favourite, or better yet, a few Paul Naschy films. The Werewolf and the Yeti still isn't officially out anywhere. that's utter madness!

You can't put Fulci and Franco in the same league! Fulci was talented and had some artistic vision. Franco is just bad full stop, even Bruno Mattei outshined Franco!

Yep agreed. The Werewolf And The Yeti would make an excellent Shameless title.

NIGHT OF THE DEMON would probably outsell evrything shameless has released so far if it was given the remastered/uncut/decent artwork treatment

Has anyone here thought to contact Francis Brewster or Harvey Fenton over at Fab Press in regard to them stocking Shameless DVD's on their website, or even David or Bianca at Headpress about having them for sale there too? It's bad enough that the titles aren't available here, but those two sites alone get some serious traffic. I'd also imagine that obviously the number of sales would be inconsequential next to HMV's, but it would still be a way of getting the product seen by those who may appreciate it more than the casual corporate shelf flicker.

Just a thought...

A good idea. In fact I struggle to find any bad ones on these forums. It's all about the limited amount of time in the day to get everything done but we should do this and I've passed it on for the sales company to deal with and if it were possible I'd release just about every title mentioned so far. Actually what happens is that it's very easy to get ditracted, get fixated on a title or two, do lots of research on them and then get distracted by another great title and in the end never see one single title through so on that basis we're trying to set ourselves some rules otherwise we'll just turn into a talking shop of good ideas - someone has to remember to see 'em through!

Yeah, me! I'd grab one, bcause I haven't been prompted to upgrade from an old and censored Finnish ex-rental VHS yet, so this would be the perfect opportunity.

Then again, I'd grab "Werewolf and the Yeti" too, because just about every review of it makes me smile.

Agreed...though when I presented the argument elsewhere people thought that the casual horror fan would rather stick to their shitty VIPCO discs while the geeks got their issue - apparently - settled years ago via US imports.

I don't know: AWE's Fulci line seems to sell reasonable enough to put out other fave cult titles previously only availlable in decent shape via R1 or Dutch DVDs in Scandinavia...so I really don't see why it would be so dramatically different in the UK to sell these as proper releases.

DEATH WEEKEND and NIGHT OF THE DEMON definetly sellers along with VIOLATION OF THE BITCH,a natural SHAMELESS title if ever there was one, even has the tagline in place...'she asked for it!'

"He came......He saw......He ripped a bloke's todger off"
