I think that Shameless should release the Spanish/Swiss co-production of the epic Los Violadores.

Why not concentrate on films they know will probably not be cut by the censors?

I mean not many people outside of the UK will buy a cut version...so sales are lost.

I wouldn't have mentioned it but recently (after years of no cuts) there seem to be BBFC problems again:
- New York Ripper (it was expected there would be no cuts but the BBFC ruled otherwise)
- Cannibal Holocaust (to be expected)
- House on the Edge of the Park (Possibly will be cut)

NYR and CH will probably sell well in the UK though.

I see where you're coming from. But I would argue that if boundaries aren't pushed then nothing will ever change.

Plus, the BBFC can be so inconsistent that they're hard to predict anyway so it would be difficult for them to "know" if something would be cut or not.

Default Female Prisoner series

I would like to see Shameless editions of Shunya Ito's Prisoner Scoropin / Convict/ Stable series. Just got the Eureka box set and no special features and a rather poor NTSC image. Wonder what the position on rights for these are?

NYR did sell well, hence the BD. I also believe CH sold a shit load of copies for Vipco so I'm not too bothered about those titles as the sales will no doubt lead to more obscure titles being released like FOOTPRINTS and OASIS OF FEAR.

Agreed! those are the releases we want, obscurities and rarely seen Masterpieces.

I would like to see Girls on the Road, Video Dead (probs more a arrow titlw), The Wanderers and a fan edition of Driller Killer, since I heard its now in the public domain.

I just hope however far censorship comes Shameless don't release any smut or any of the faces of death series. There are far more forgotten movies out there that deserve a voice.
