I'm aware of the out-of-print Japanese DVD, but that featured a non-anamorphic transfer.

I thought the image looked a bit crushed and cramped. Maybe it was meant to though? Anyhow, it needs a remaster and a release - one of my favourite Italian genre flicks of all.

well considering some of the actors were speaking in 'eng anyway' and its english setting, as stated in the review when i bought it, as when they make these films initially they make it for the us and brit market

but overall if its a foreign film eg ichi the killer, i always have the jap soundtrack

Well it is an Italian made film with many of the actors speaking in that language, although I did italicise the word original in order to provide context.*

* i.e. in some instances a film has no original language as such, since many of them were shot without live sound and dubs were created for different markets in post-production

There's a rumour floating around that the BFI are looking to acquire some of Larraz's films, including Symptoms. Not sure how true this is, but how brilliant would that be?

A release of Symptoms would be truly splendid.

After Dellamorte Dellamore / The Cemetery Man Shameless don't seem to have anything else announced for release. I wonder if this means we'll get a title announcement or two soon.

Indeed! Al other versions were cut anyway.
g053584398 and ReturnToZero like this.
