Poll: What already released Shameless title would you like yo see on Blu ray? OK, we all know that a Blu Ray of New York Ripper is on the horizon but out of all the other titles Shameless have released which one would you most like to see get the Blu Ray treatment more than any other release. For the record mine would be What have they done to your daughters? |
Moderators: Please can you add LOVE GODDESS OF THE CANNIBALS, SATAN'S BABY DOLL and BEAST IN SPACE to the poll if possible. |
That's a tough one. Some I've still yet to see and Daughters is one of them, although if it's up there with Solange it'll be high on the list. For me, Torso will be hard to beat, especially the Shameless version. I just love the film and that last half hour still racks my nerves.. would be a nice sleazy but good quality follow up to NYR too. |

While the prospect of some of these titles on bd is appealing,I would rather have Shameless release some more unreleased titles on dvd... ;) Anyway I've casted my vote. :) Shame it's no multiple choice poll... |

I actually considered Frightened Woman because I liked it that much but I imagine that would be a tough ask to find a better source for the lower quality inserts. |

I see...a man with a plan. ;) Btw I think very few people would vote for the ones you forgot to add... |
There are quite a few here I'd like to see on Blu ray, but to pick one I'd go for What Have They Done To Your Daughters? |
Tough poll. I suppose it would also come down to which had 'suitable elements' for an HD transfer, but in the end I voted for The Frightened Woman - which is one of my favourite Shameless titles. Watch Me When I Kill would have probably been my next choice, with Night Train Murders a close third. I think both Torso and Daughters would do really well on Blu-Ray for Shameless, though. |

If the source materials were good enough, The Designated Victim as this is my favourite Shameless title so far. Failing that, I think the post-apocalyptic films might benefit from the blu-ray treatment, especially BW2. I agree with bdc though - given the choice, I'd rather see Shameless put their efforts into some more previously unreleased titles on DVD. |
Oh well, just went and ordered Daughters then... |

I voted for Escape From The Bronx (Bronx Warriors 2) but I'd like to see the 3 films released on blu. |
Toss up between Oasis Of Fear and The Designated Victim for me with Footprints close behind (they have been my favourite Shameless films so far), but I'm going to hold off voting until I finally sit through What Have They Done To Your Daughters? as I suspect I'll adore it. I'll try to watch it tomorrow. |

I voted Killer Nun. I think this would look good in Hi Def and it's kinda well enough known to appeal to the more casual fan. I think Flavia would look awesome on BD but I dont think it has enough casual appeal to be sucessful on BluRay . |
Daughters arrived and watched it last night. Great film and one of the best blends of police/giallo I've seen. Definitely up there but I think I would still keep my vote for Torso even after watching it. :) |
Poll: What already released Shameless title would you like yo see on Blu ray? I'd go for Flavia too, but yes, I'd agree it might not have that crossover appeal to casual buyers. |
Voted THE BLACK CAT, simply because i like this film and think it would look fine in a blu-ray edition, the others i would also like to see released are... TORSO, MANHATTAN BABY (i know not a mega fave among fans but i actually do enjoy this) & RATMAN (Think this would look trashingly great on blu for a trashingly great little horror) |
Let's be honest, Torso will be the most profitable of all. A Sergio Martino movie is more appealing to collectors (like myself :-) ) |
That's easy ! Release the ones your market research suggests will make the most money ! That way you can finance future Shameless restorations of more more esoteric films that might sell only in small numbers The films that might not do so well on BluRay individually could perhaps do better as double-features ? |
It definitely makes sense to release titles of sought after directors (like any Fulci/Martino/Dallamano titles), but what also matters is the cover. Printing eye-attracting statements in huge letters like those i will not quote here, could make even The Seventh Seal sound like a cheap student film... So, an unoffensive Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh in the near future pleeeease? :) |

I'd still be partial to a few Shameless Giallo titles but personally the relevant Castellari actioners would have to arrive beforehand in HD.:) |
I went for Footprints despite the low quality inserts but Night Train Murders and What Have They Done to Your Daughters? would be my second and third choices. |
