The House With Windows That Laugh

I would love to see this weird and creepy film again alone and at night.

I'd love Shameless to release this film but it's already with another company:

The House With Laughing Windows [DVD] [1976]: Amazon.co.uk: Lino Capolicchio, Gianni Cavina, Pupi Avati: DVD

I like Avati stuff, a very underrated director.

Even if it was available to license, I'd prefer 'Zeder' first although maybe that would suit Arrow more, as there are other versions of House to tide everyone over. Still only the Italian dvd of Zeder in print now after all these years and it really deserves a bigger spread.

Yeah, I'd buy Zeder too.

HWTLW is a great film indeed. The scenes in the house are very creepy! Would be nice to see it get a wider coverage.

This has a special place in my heart! It was the first film i bought after i consciously decided to look out for less known giallo-like thrillers from Italy. It still is one of the more improbable ones, with a non audience pleasing ending.

(I also bought Zeder, imported from Italy, but haven't watched it yet.)

The House With Windows That Laugh

Never seen this film
I have read good reviews for it, but always been a fan of other Italian directors.........

The House With Laughing Windows already has a decent release (Italian, US and UK releases). Zeder is one that deserves a UK release for definite - a strange and haunting film that I'd love to revisit.

But the one Avati film I'd really like to see Shameless release over here is The Arcane Enchanter. Someone needs to put this out pronto.

Totally agree on "The Arcane Enchanter", Avati at his prime and a seemingly rarely seen and neglected gem. A Shameless release of "Zeder" would be an instant sale for me too. An extremely creepy and original film with a fantastic score.
