Default Extra Feature:Idea: Shameless at the BBFC

One potentially interesting extra feautre - which I can't believe to be too costly - would be a kind of video journal about a controversial Shameless title being submitted to the BBFC from first considerations to the actual screening and the classification board's reactions...and in the worst case scenario: the preparing of an altered version.
It hasn't been done yet on any horror movie DVD I know of and yet it's an interesting issue from a fan's point of view.

That would make a fascinating extra if it ever happened.

It's an interesting idea but I guess one we'd never hope to see as we'd like more Flavia and Night Train style successes. That said some of the stuf we're pondering might not get through entirely uncut - one of those do we, don't we situations!

I can see what you mean, Almar....BUT it could also be a documentary with an (uncut) happy ending, depending on the outcome.

How right you are! Would be a lot easier if we had a camera and a cameraman kicking about. Will think about it though...

Just out of curiosity are any BBFC cuts (ie New York Ripper, Venus In Furs) made by Shameless themselves or sent to an editing company with their own Avid Suite?

Let's hope they don't have to be done too often but, as with some Anchor Bay releases, the results (especially to NYR) were extremely well made.

All the cuts are done by an authoring house and the brief is to edit so that the film isn't ruined by the cut which reminds me I meant to get the cuts up on this site! (Almar scribbles this down on another piece of paper destined to be lost forever)
