It is possible that the first Mondo Cane might pass the BBFC now, since the majority (if not all) of the animal cruelty shots are "documentary style", although whether the presence of the wry commentary over the top would make them seem to be presented for amusement it is hard to say.

#2 should be fine to pass, as should #3 'Women of the World' although this is a rather listless outing. I wouldn't waste money trying to pass either version of 'Africa' or 'Tom'!

Is it actually worth bothering with the likes of Addio Zio Tom? From what I've heard the soundtrack would be really quite up my street but I don't want to sit through the film if it's enormously unpleasant.

My favourite part of Cannibal Holocaust was the soundtrack, for instance.

Hmm Addio zio Tom according to imdb was released over here with a run time of 93 mins compared to 136 mins but the title is not listed on the bbfc website under that title or goodbye uncle tom

It was released, I think, as Uncle Tom here.
