Default Spider Labyrinth!

Just as I've opened up the old wallet to get a couple of the latest Shameless releases, I thought I'd moan about 'Spider Labyrinth' again... it has been a while. Sadly, it is still the case that this late 80s Italo masterpiece - which watches like a perfectly good 'classic' Argento which it very much apes - is still very hard to find. When you do find it, the copy will most likely be a bootleg DVD-R sourced from a Japanese VHS. OK, so you can *watch* it, but it really deserves a better release.

Have Shameless looked into this at all? I know a fair few are interested in this one... it would be good to know if the original source material still exists, who owns it and how much they want!

The cinematography, the spooky wind swept Budapest setting, the dodgy animated stop motion spiders are brilliant!

Here's the trailer for those who may not have seen it:

Yes, in total agreement, I have the bad picture version myself and still loved this, I tend to watch it every Halloween for some reason.

Very good horror flick. I'd also love to have it on my shelf.

RELEASE SPIDER LABYRINTH!

P-L-E-A-S-E!

At this rate folks I wonder if we'd be worth looking into this ourselves. I know some other people who clubbed together and bought the rights for something... expensive, but if we got enough people involved!

Anyone have any insight into who may own the rights or how you'd find out...other than google?
