Unsung Gialli

Any plans for Shameless to release any of these unsung Giallo's in the future:

Black Belly of the Tarantula
Calling All Policecars
The Crimes of the Black Cat
Death Laid an Egg
Death Walks in High Heels
The Monster of Venice
Five Women For the Killer
Gently Before She Dies
Gore in Venice
The Killer is Still Among Us
The Killer Reserved Nine Seats
Naked Girl Killed in the Park
Paris Sex Murders
The Pyjama Girl Case
Seven Murders For Scotland Yard
Slaughter Hotel
So Sweet, So Dead
The Strange Vice of Signora Wardh
Vice Wears Black Hose

(Some of these names may not be the correct UK title)

Or, if anyone knows. Is there anywhere else to get these films, here in the UK?

The only one of those with a UK dvd release is Slaughter Hotel - released in a crappy version as Asylum Erotica. The Pyjama Girl Case was released on UK VHS by Redemption some years ago. A number of the others are available on dvd elsewhere, though.

Collect term for giallo in the plural is *gialli* - haha, sorry to be pedantic.

A lot of the titles you mention are in circulation already, though some may be out of print now:

Black Belly of the Tarantula - US, Blue Underground, also available in Italy
The Crimes of the Black Cat - US, Blue Underground
Death Laid an Egg - King Records, Japan - Out of print
Death Walks in High Heels - US, NoShame on doublebill with DEATH WALKS AT MIDNIGHT
Gently Before She Dies - aka You Vice Is A Locked Room - US, NoShame
Paris Sex Murders - aka French Sex Murders - US, Mondo Macabro
The Pyjama Girl Case - US, Blue Underground
Seven Murders For Scotland Yard - US, though it's a bootleg
Slaughter Hotel - US Shriek Show or Italy, Raro
The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh - US, NoShame

You can still get the NoShame discs if you dig about and keep your eyes peeled on eBay. There are some chancers on amazon Marketplace that are looking for obscene amounts of money for tem, but you can still pick them up cheap if your dogged and savvy enough though, mate.

My bad! I moved the thread and re-titled it... Whoops!

All better now!

I know... i paid a lot for a sealed Your Vice Is A Locked Room... :headbang:

And I just noticed that The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh is now sold at approx. $100! Luckily I have it already!

If the prices are so crazy, the demand must be high. It might be a good idea to bring these two movies the Shameless collection ;)

That's a very good point, though some might may argue the point, as alot of the company's titles obviously did not sell, as NoShame is either struggling or has gone under completely, depending on who you talk to.

It's a shame (no pun intended) that NoShame seem to have come to an end. Not only did they release some very obscure titles, they managed to afford them very decent releases; all those that I bought--and I reckon I hve at least 20 of their releases--were exemplary, with stunning transfers and interesting extras. Some of them even had soundtrack CDs.

Definetly a shame-I've been snapping up their cheaper releases before they rocket. As I said elsewhere-I got rid of Wardh .......typical eh?
