a classic collection if IFD Ninja'ry

Joeph lai would make you a deal for a package buy....

You could actually do some mad extras for them too in terms of interviews with certain key cast and crew (hint hint)

Is this one of the comps and you have to try and list as many films as you can with the word 'ninja' in it?

Seriously though, I'd be up for these. I love me a bit of good old ninja tomfoolery.

I haven't seen any of these, but like the ninja films I have seen. Is Godfrey Ho a respected martial arts practitioner?

master of the flying guillotine would be a worthy release

He's a director, Nos. Well known in Asian film circles.

There's a pretty reasonable Region One DVD release of Flying Guilotine with commentary etc

Thanks for the clarification - I should really use Google before asking questions like that!

As I said, I'm far from the world's biggest expert on ninja movies, but if he's well-known and his films have a fan base, they're definitely something Shameless may consider.

ReturnToZero 11th December 2011 10:31 AM

To be honest i dont think i have any DVD with the word "ninja" in the titel so i would totally buy all of those.

Godfrey directed most of the new scenes for the various NINJA movies that IFD put out, while Joseph Lai produced and directed some of them

Richard Harrison is quite outspoken about his experiences with IFD, but then again he recounts his memories of so many films in the wonderfully named "Gods in Spandex', and it seems that at least according to his recollection, he was the only professional on every film he worked on, that the scripts were terrible, that he wrote the scripts and so on.....

A great site for anybody interested in those who worked on the Joseph Lai movies is Golden Ninja Warrior, which includes interviews with various folk involved both in front and behind the scenes

I would include the link but dont have the requisite permissions yet

Haven't some of IFD's Ninja outings previously been issued on U.K. DVD albeit on cheap 'n' nasty labels with VHS-sourced transfers?:)

mikeleeder 22nd December 2011 09:00 AM

The majority of releases have been using VHS i think as source....i am looking forward to the Attackafant Entertainment release of KILLER ELEPHANT as thats from a new IFD master

The various Ninja & kickboxer movies IFD did are cult favourites, they are mad at times but there's often some great action and cast popping up

Would love to see someone do a proepr IFD collection

Scyther 22nd December 2011 04:32 PM

Perhaps a box set with a collectible 'Golden Ninja Warrior' figurine, a la Noshame's Red Queen Kills Seven Times set?

ReturnToZero 22nd December 2011 07:26 PM

A box is a very good idea.

It must also include a booklet with as many fitting photos of Harrison's impeccable moustache.

mikeleeder 23rd December 2011 03:32 AM

A box set with the Golden Ninja Warrior statue...i'd buy that now1

there's a company that may be releasing a replica of the statue according to the great IFD fan site goldenninjawarriorchronicles.blogspot

There's an entry there ref a statue that might be coming out

Sorry need 4 more posts before i can post a link
