I think it will along with the Turtle which is killed later on in the film (both kills done in a very similar way IIRC).

There's also a legal escape route whereby if the producer of the film can prove to the BBFC and RSPCA's satisfaction that the cruelty was either faked or would have happened regardless of the camera's presence (what I call the David Attenborough defence, although Attenborough was still at school when this legislation was passed), it's also OK - but I doubt very much that Cannibal Ferox would pass that test.

On the other hand, the campaigning documentary The Animals Film did, as none of its often highly distressing footage was deliberately staged for the film - it would have been massively counterproductive if it had been!
Hello Michael, nice to see you here.

Re the debate on what animal cruelty the BBFC would pass now in Ferox. The small animal banging against the side of a truck would be the first. It clearly wasn't a case of deliberate cruelty. I'm surprised they cut it to be honest.

I've only got the Grindhouse DVD of 'Ferox' at the moment, so I'd be up for an uncut BD release.

Depends on the extra's really, I love interviews with actors etc. Once I have an uncut version whether on DVD or BD I'm a happy bunny but will buy BD for extra goodies

Apparently GRINDHOUSE releasing are putting out their back catalogue on Blu-ray sometime in the near future. So Blus of this, I drink your blood and Cat in the brain could be out sometime soon.

Then again, being grindhouse releasing they could take years and then get released with little fanfare, just like American hippie in israel and Massacre mafia style.

Isn't the Grindhouse DVD of Cannibal Ferox still available? That's the one I've got.I'm pretty sure uncut Euro DVDs are also still available from places like D&T mailorder and Amazon.
