[QUOTE=Almar@Shameless;15807] One title that sticks out as doable (on our travels through the world of materials hell and as Marc points out rights hell) is Who Killed The Prosecutor and Why? But is it more of a hardcore fan curio than something that's likely to have wider appeal?/QUOTE]

I'd certainly buy it! It seems to get mixed reviews, but it hasn't been released on dvd anywhere else ( to my knowledge ) so that would help sales, I guess.

No luck with Amuck! or Smile Before Death, Almar?

Who Killed The Prosecutor is great! It would make a great release if possible.

I'm not sure who benefits from all the 'rights hell' many of the films languish in. Fairly certain that whoever owns the rights, rightly or wrongly, will be making no money while there's no official release.

Whats the problem with NOTD.
I had to get a rip of the uncut NOTD , as apart from an old 90's VIPCO vhs I couldn't get this film anywhere in the UK except as a pretty decent rip.

Don't VIPCO own the UK rights.?.
They were the last company to put it out in the 90's on VHS in the UK. I don't know if it was released on DVD though as i've never seen it, thats why I had to get a rip.

NOTD was released as part of Vipco's Screamtime collection on DVD. I've got it but it's still the cut print unfortunately. It really would make a great SHAM 020 if it was a possibility, it needs a new DVD release badly, it's a great film aswell (in it's own little way )

Theres a couple of copies going on amazon but the prices are steep, going from between £15.50 to just under £30 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Night-Demon-...4514237&sr=1-2

Yes Vipco released the same cut (almost 2 mins) print on DVD rather than resubmitting the uncut version. A serious goof on their part, as it would have passed intact in 2001.

It was shown fully uncut on the Zone Horror channel.
