Would you mind doing me the favour of looking it out and posting the serial number?

I've noticed a couple of duplications in the list I posted - too late to amend it now - but rather than clog up the forum with every revision I make I'll add a pile more then post the new version.

agree they had many rare titles, however they are now out of business, i knew them very well, as i used to be a market trader. They closed up business about 2 years ago, they actually were non authorized dvd wholesalers, that is to say they never held the copyrights to any of the dvds they released under their banner -23rd centruy.

I think we all guessed that anyway. I don't believe they got new BBFC certification either, just retained that of the VHS tapes they copied.

it costs about £800 to submit a picture to the bbfc to be certified, therefore they never bothered. The dvds were all copied in China and sold at their Manchester wharehouse at 65p, but like other dvd wholesalers the internet killed them off, a shame as they had plans to release at least another 100 rare vhs films. They chose the obscure ones as the copyright was often in dispute or that no one would bother to check the authencity of the dvd.

Thanks for the insights, sukh242opxg, did they ever , do you know, put out any kind of catalogue of their releases? or were they too canny about putting stuff down on paper?

They used to highlight some of their 23rd century releases on their website, but never had a catalogue, the gaffer was dodgy, made Arthur Daley look like a saint!
plasterface likes this.
