Maybe the unoffical sequel to Dracula: The Return of the Vampire (1944)?

The vampire played by Lugosi could not be named Dracula because of legal issues. ;)

Hollywood was already getting heavy flack for their "amoral" films by then and the Hays Code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_Picture_Production_Code) was already in effect...

Keep in mind Dracula is almost a silent film. ;)
I mean it's somewhat of a transition between silents and talkies as Tod Browning (as well as many actors) was just adjusting to the talkies.
