Have you seen the doc? It sounds right up my street. Used to love the Tomorrow People as a nipper. Who remembers the big white balloon things that were the baddies in a couple of episodes? They scared the S@#t out of me as a kid, but I managed to see a small clip of them a few years ago and realised that they were prob the worst monsters ever put on screen! lol
