I know that art is a subject on which you can discuss hours without coming to a proper end - but I really think that all of Rick's works are of very high quality and the majority of them is extraordinarly fine. And what's more: I recognise a Rick Melton artwork when I see one - you can't say that about many artists nowadays.
And although it has already been said, you can't state it often enough: this "The Bird with a Crystal Plumage"-artwork is one of his finest.

If people don't like the artwork, then they can use one of the others. It's that simple. There's no need for them to shit all over the new art. And it's true about recognizing Rick's work. Along with the likes of Graham Humphries, Renato Casaro and Drew Struzan, you can always tell when a cover has been done by Rick.
