Last House was rejected by the BBFC 3 times. In 1974 (for cinema), in 2000 (again for cinema), and in 2001 (for video/DVD). The last rejection was due to the distributors refusing to make the 16 secs of required cuts. They ended up taking the BBFC on in court and lost badly. As a result it was finally passed the following year with an additional 15 secs of cuts on top of the original ones.

The BBFC never saw I Spit On Your Grave until 2001. If it had been submitted beforehand (during the Ferman years) it would have been rejected without hesitation. Especially considering that he was rejecting far less violent films such as Curfew etc.
