Robert Cummings is Captain James Embry, who in 1943 missed the last flight of the King Nine, which crashed and the crew mysterioulsy disappeared. 17 years later and wracked with guilt, he hallucinates he is searching for his lost crew in the desert amid the wreckage...but is he really hallucinating?
