Hello sawyer6, there is some film from 1926 on "Here's a Health to the Barley Mow" which was recorded with sound. It wasn't until I got this set that I discovered sound was being used before "The Jazz Singer" but mainly to record musical acts and variety stage shows. Slightly off topic, my great grandmother used to play the organ in the cinema back in the 1920s.
