I'm currently wading through the rather fantastic
Hollywood Animal, Joel Eszterhas's autobiography.
It's superbly written with tons of fascinating anecdotes that range from the unbelievable to the hilarious. I'm taking most of it with a pinch of salt, but it's a big recommendation if you want to hear about 80s/90s Hollywood from a writer's point of view. It's kind of like his version of Hollywood Babylon with added childhood anecdotes
