Cool

DR. NO on Blu, good god how good can a film look? Seen it on dvd,vhs and freeview but this is just too much. Lowry do another masterpiece job of restoration, the scenes in Jamaica look so good(especially when filmed near the sea on the coast) with superb detail and a rich colour palette it'll have you rubbing your eyes in a way that a 50 year old film just shouldn't be able to do, never thought of DR. NO as a colourful Bond but it is. And when it gets dark instead of smoothing it to a mush, we get a great wash of natural grain, and boy does Ursula look great in HD if there is a niggle it's the dialogue is now easy to spot where it's overdubbed or gets a bit thin/tinny, but that's as nothing next to a truly great iconic Bond beautifully restored. These Lowry people really know their onions. a 5/5 from me.
